King’s Presence Chamber Dinner at Kensington Palace

Coates & Seely were delighted to be served at a dinner in the Kings Gallery at Kensington Palace to thank some of the leading benefactors to Historic Royal Palaces.
Drinks were served in the Palace gardens beforehand, after which guests proceeded to the State Apartments, up the magnificent King’s Staircase, designed by Christopher Wren, to dinner in the King’s Gallery.
Built by William and Mary in 1695, the Gallery was once the hub of the royal court of the House of Orange, and is still hung with the crimson silk damask that sets off so brilliantly numerous masterpieces from the Royal Collection, all of it overlooked by the imposing statue of Charles I.

The New Pavilion at Kensington Palace

Coates & Seely were delighted to be chosen to supply the sparkling wine at the opening of the new Pavilion at kensington Palace. Designed to accommodate a variety of events during the restoration works currently underway at the Orangery, the Pavilon provides an elegant, sophisticated and flexible new entertaining space and is situated between the georgian splendour of the Orangery and the exquisite gardens surrounding git.

Many of London’s leading events managers and party-planners were out in force to experience the magic and sophistication of the new space. Mouth-watering canapes, supplied by Word of Mouth and washed down by Coates & Seely sparkling wines, were followed by a sumptuous dinner,  whilst the pavilion was be-decked with spectacular flowers by Simon Lycett.

Palace Pearls of Wisdom at The Banqueting House

The Banqueting House in Whitehall, designed by Inigo Jones and once the court of the early Stuart kings, is one of London’s greatest landmarks. With its recent restoration project now complete, it is now available for the first time for day-time events and, to show-case its unique qualities, a carnival of London’s finest party planners, caterers, stylists and media specialists were invited to a fabulous lunch under the Rubens ceiling of the main banqueting hall, followed by a series of workshops and an after-aprty in the crypt.

Coates & Seely were delighted to be asked to supply their Rosé NV at the after-party, which was perfectly complemented by utterly delicious canapés crafted by Rhubarb Catering.

The Enlightened Princesses Exhibition at Kensington Palace

Coates & Seely were honoured to have their Brut Reserve NV sparkling wine served at the opening night of the ‘Enlightened Princesses’ exhibition at Kensington Palace.

Curated by the Historic Royal Palaces in conjunction with the Yale Center for British Art, the exhibition explores the lives of the three German princesses – Caroline of Ansbach, Augusta of Saxe-Gotha and Charlotte of Mecklenberg-Streliz – whose respective marriages to George II, George III and George IV placed then at the very heart of the Enlightenment underway in 18th century Britain, and the shaping of the modern world.

On what proved to be the hottest night of the year thus far, the chilled Coates & Seely proved a doubly welcoming refreshment to a fascinated and appreciative audience.

Tinie Tempah, Pete Tong & Sigma at Goodwood

After dark, on three hot and sultry Friday nights in June, the hallowed turf of the Parade Ring at Goodwood, directly below the Coates & Seely Pavilion, switches from hooves to heels as Tinie Tempah, Pete Tong and Sigma drive the crowd to dance and the pounding of the racing earlier in the evening morphs to the pounding of a different, more glamorous beat.

This is a unique and thrilling combination of racing, music and dance, washed down with Coates & Seely’s sparkling wines that are available in the pavilions throughout the evening.

Foreign Sister’s Lunch at One Marylebone

Amidst an ocean of female glamour, comprising 350 stunning ladies from around the world, our eponymous co-founder (the Coates, not the Seely) appeared as one of only two male guests, a somewhat lonely canoe without his paddle.

What this meagre vessel lacked in glamour was happily compensated for by the sparkling Coates & Seely Rose wine, served before lunch and a perfect complement to so many glamorous ladies.

With an effulgent Tania Bryer brilliantly compering the event, over £225,000 was raised for Cancer Research.
