Roux at Parliament Square Masterchef Pop-Up Event with Tom Peters

Coates & Seely were delighted to supply Roux at Parliament Square with the apperitif for a spectacular lunch, prepared by six Master Chef contestants under the overall direction of Tom Peters, assistant head chef at Roux at Parliament Square.

A bleak winter’s day in January was transformed by the culinary excellence of the chefs, who produced a sensational six course lunch of style and sophistication,  set up by the copious Coates & Seely bubbles beforehand, and complemented by the superb Stellenbosch wines of our friends at Journey’s End.

Pollen Street Social’s ‘Social Sunday’

On a Sunday morning in June, award-winning chef Jason Atherton hosted a series of lunches across his ‘Social Company’ restaurants in aid of the charity ‘Hospitality Action’, which provides help to those in the hospitality industry who have fallen on hard times.

Assisted by three of the most brilliant young chefs currently at work in London – Elizabeth Allen, previously of ‘Pidgin’ and now setting up her new restaurant ‘Shibui’, Mark Jarvis of ‘Anglo’ and the eponymous James Cochran – Jason prepared a five-course tasting menu for selected guests, preceded by a drinks reception featuring Coates & Seely’s award-winning English sparkling wines.

The proceeds raised went to those chefs, waiters, housekeepers and bar staff most in need.

Wine Dinner at The Dorchester Grill

Executive Chef at the Dorchester Grill, Christophe Marleix, and Head of Wine at the Dorchester, Vincent Pastorello, put together a thrilling tasting menu to match four Coates & Seely sparkling wines for a select group of their clients.

Each of the matches was inspired, but the highlights were perhaps the delicate citrus and white fruits of the award-winning Coates & Seely Blanc de Blancs ‘La Perfide’ 2009 with the Cod in Shellfish Sauce served with Celeriac Puree; and the richness of Coates & Seely’s Gold Medal-winning Brut Reserve NV with the Grill’s own ravishingly textured and rich ‘signature’ Pate en Croute.

For Coates & Seely the evening was a platonic moment. For years we have worked tirelessly to produce wines that sing to their terroir; that night, they finally found their match. Thank you to Christopher and Vincent for putting us all together.

London Fashion Week: Pollen Street Social

Jason Atherton’s Michelin-starred flagship restaurant Pollen Street Social is offering a limited edition sharing plate throughout London Fashion Week titled Fruits of the British Sea.

Designed for two to share, the dish features oyster ice-cream, potted Eyemouth crab & Beluga caviar, Orkney sea scallop, pickled radish and jalapeno and a langoustine cocktail.

The sharing plate is theatrically served on a tiered stand, with a glass of Coates & Seely Rosé NV sparkling wine; tres chic.

The Mayfair restaurant is popular with the fashion cognoscenti, beloved for its contemporary and playful approach to fine dining amid pared-back, modern interiors.
